    Yeah, I have been "hurt" before with peppers I knew nothing about......so now I don't talk about it much. No macho shit here. I can tolerate habenaro peppers, but it is uncomfortably hot for me....ruins the food for me. :dunno:

    You get too hot, it is inedible!!!! I use a slight pinch of bhut in my chili and I'm the only one that likes it.Habaneros tend to have a chemical type taste to me so I avoid them.

    nowadays its just "Ride the Wavey". Work is busy or insanely busy. :D Sometime I dread coming back after a vacation day or two because I'll be slammed. :(

    I've heard folks say that sometimes when they over indulge it hurts during exit as well. :shock:

    I don't go to hard on the spicy stuff. As noted above, it ruins it when food is too "HOT"

    I like cayanne because I find it to be reliable... i.e. you can easily measure the amount you use to get the results you want....I have used too much cayanne before and it was a throw it out situation. I used to use liquid cayanne sauces like Louisiana Hot Sauce, Texas Pete, etc. but did not like the sour taste, so now I just use the finely ground cayanne.

    I have never personally experienced that. :dunno:

    And everybody has a different level at which it is too hot. For my Dad, anything about a touch of routine black pepper was too much. :lol:

    I suppose you get used to an ingredient, you'll use it more often. I like cayenne, and have used it in the past. I just stepped up my game as far as heat. Maybe its that my taste buds are shot!!! Yikes:
