  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Rapidshare keeps timing out

    whats the size of the file?
    if its under 30mb try to shorten the name

    Also try just uploading a small file with the same name. That will tell you if its the file name. It will also tell you whether you can upload anything at all. It could be the file size.

    also i noticed, that if you surf while you are uploading it increases the chances of a timeout so i just have my other computer do the uploading and just surf on my laptop, oblivously not everyone has that option, but you can always upload while you are sleeping or at work. when i dont surf i never get a time out. i can upload a 700mb file on the first try.

    yeah i noticed that too
    when i upload vids i just leave my pc and do sth else...worked everytime
    this might be his problem

    usually i dont surf while i upload. i usually watch some tv or a video. the file names are small too.

    I generally have better luck uploading with IE rather than FireFox. I don't know why. I prefer FireFox by 10 miles, but for some reason IE must handle the uploading scripts better for me.
