Bit of guidance needed. I'm a member on lots of different forums an often see videos that aren't posted on phun.

Is it acceptable to post these videos using their links or should you upload the videos again yourself?

Thought it better to check before being excommunicated!

Christ, so sorry - I'll go right over and read over those rules. I've lurked around here long enough that I thought i knew what was acceptable to post.

Sorry for the inconvenience! I think the moderation here is what keeps this place a cut above the other forums out there.

 

the question of whether to use somebody else's link is debatable. Some people want credit given, others care about the rapidshare points, and some still just don't care. I am in the "i don't care"category." So post as you please as long as it doesn't break any of our rules. I am not going to me looking in other forums to see if you took a link there or not.

 

have in mind that many who are posting vids "elsewhere" may be member here too, so maybe it´s a matter of "etiquette" between you and the original uploader/poster.

and youre not the one "in control" about dead links etc. and the original uploaders may have a reason not to post their vids here.

i doubt too that someone will spend some time tracking the origin of your threads - if not the OU
