"Other Videos" Subforum Idea Revisited - Please Read

I don't want to see this stuff in the "Funny" video forum. :2cent: This is just one example of a video that is not funny that is in that subforum:Vid title: "A US Soldier and his buddy throw a puppy off a cliff in Iraq"

Why can't we just make another subforum called "Other Videos"? Please?

There are more and more not funny videos being posted in "Funny Videos" every day. I think it's very obvious we need another category for miscellaneous vids.

Seriously... thoughts? People agree with me all the time yet it also seems to fall on deaf ears for some reason. If you like this idea, then speak up please.

 

I don't think that video has any place here, regardless of how many sub-forums we have.

Personally i'd keep it the way it is and simply encourage people to simply either post porn vids or funny vids (i mean, what other types of videos are really necessary here?)

Opening an 'Other vids' sub-forum might open a can of worms with people posting a lot more undesirable stuff.

Yeah that is'nt right, not really funny i think! You know my thoughts TKA, but it would help if people posted stuff well within reason too!

makes me think Cayne has kind of a "plan" about the funny-vid-section. maybe we´ll just see what´s gonna happen.
(if there will happen anything. i asked him a "few weeks" ago, but gods are always busy).

 

I agree with Jenn - shouldn't be on here to begin with. BUT - that brings up another issue - who's job is it to judge when something is funny or not? Obviously throwing a puppy off a cliff is NOT funny but again, you are opening up another can of worms.

While on the subject of videos - I also STRONGLY believe that any video even mentioning incest should automatically be trashed.

We'll get away from the bad stuff for a minute...

There are also cool videos that people post that aren't "funny" or "sexy," and I still think we need another category. Let's say I want to post a video about a group of professional skydivers doing a choreographed skydive together. (I'm just trying to think of an example.) That video is not funny, and it's not sexy. It's cool, and I like seeing cool things. Maybe the new section should be called "Cool Videos" rather than "Other Videos" to encourage "coolness."

I just think there are tons of great vids out there and a lot of them don't fall into the Funny category yet are worth seeing. I think it would tidy the subforums up since people are posting EVERYTHING that's not Sexy into the Funny section right now, funny or not. The Funny Videos section already is the "other" section right now if you take a look in there. Having it named "Funny" right now obviously isn't working, and I think it's because we need another category because people want to post (and already are posting) stuff they don't know where to put.

 

personally i wouldn´t mind another section.

but maybe it´s recommended to inform those who are affected/involved - those who are posting vids and those who are the ones to decide
