    The movie was pretty racy for a mainstream flick in 1975. The remake should be considerably sexier, naked-er, maybe even raunchier. And with Victoria Justice. Fuck me.

    Rocky Horror was NEVER mainstream.

    That was 3/4 the point. Only the fucked up kids got the "dammit. janet." joke. The mainstream never knew more than the title, if that. And no, Rocky was perverse, but hardly as quotequote racy as things like caligula. Honestly, your average movie in 1975 was alround much more adult than the dogshit hollyweird disneys out today.

    Factually, the movie was intended for a mainstream theatrical run; it certainly was no underground/alternative sort, such as John Waters' titles. Initially it did not do well, but within a year became a popular midnight movie, which eventually brought it to the attention of much more of the general population. It is still in distribution, and may be the longest continually-distributed film in history. As far as being racy, there weren't many movies around that time with a bisexual theme, certainly not comedies. To compare it with Caligula is hyperbole.

    In any case, when I wrote the comment, I was under the impression that a true remake was planned. I have since learned that it is only a made-for-TV movie, thus my anticipation of VJ doing "2016-sensibilities" sex scenes is in error.
