    and her Production Company is developing a film version of the Adult Drama/Musical "Spring Awakening"
    A coming-of-age story centred on a group of teens discovering their sexuality.
    Written by Frank Wedekind, Maisie will be playing Ilse.

    She's put some of her GOT money into her Company "Daisie", so she's not exactly standing still and as been said can pick and chose what she wants to do.

    I was hoping for a sequel where Arya returns from her semester at sea … oh, well. FWIW "Spring Awakening" could be awesome.

    Is this still happening? That was initially going to be released in August of this year but it got pushed and I remember hearing Disney was going to axe it after the merger but I never followed up.

    It's weird because that trailer came out over a year ago. It didn't look that bad and it has a good cast. If they don't go forward with the film all of them can be re-cast them for different roles in the MCU.

    It is still happening, though it has gone through an odd journey.

    Apparently, the film as it exists is strong, but the public's reaction to the trailer and the test audience's reaction to the film's horror elements was stronger than Fox anticipated. They wanted to reshoot parts and add a couple scenes to play up the horror.

    Delays have happened because they needed to shoot around GoT, Stranger Things, The Originals, and Glass. Then, the whole Disney buyout happened. Some Disney execs were wary of the film's box office potential, especially after Dark Phoenix bombed and other Fox films disappointed this year.

    It has been reported that Disney showed a slightly different cut to test audiences about a month ago, and the reaction was so positive that Disney thinks the reshoots are a worthwhile investment and may even be cutting out the few references to Fox X-Men continuity to allow for these characters' in future use in MCU productions.
