Imagesocket ??

I have noticed that now imagesocket is not giving full image forum links for pics uploaded (even though I am it's member ).

Mods plz check this. And plz update the allowed imagehosts list now & include some hosts that give full image forum links (there is hardly any host available & listed here which gives full image links for forum, even imagetitan don't give).

Ok..so maybe something is wrong myside just now, will try tomorrow & let you know if problem persists.

But still consider some more imagehosts giving full image links on next update of imagehosts .

Today after a little huffing and puffing getting things to work I posted my 1st DL link. I too couldn't get Imagesocket to work for a full image. The only 1 of the 3 that worked was Uploadem.com.

BTW A question to anybody who has used this site. How do you get back to the original page showing the codes ? There's nowhere on the site to login and doesn't appear to be a cookie which brings it up automaticaly when you next load up the home page... Do you need to write down the link's ?

 

apparently the staff at imagesocket monitors hotlinked pics and the bandwidth they are using (killing) more than they used to. that´s what all imagehosts do, more or less.
guess you all have noticed this pic every now and then instead of the intended sig or "cover"-pic:



a reup- on imagesocket always worked fine - for me. until the next bandwidth-exceed

a "general" suggestion, btw.: i think it´s useful not to hotlink pics larger than... maybe 600pixels of width.
they need loading-time and break the frame of a phun-post.

I had the same trouble yesterday. It wouldnt provide a link for full image on 2 different attempts.

Thanks for the suggestion about the pixels, i'll try to remember that.

Here's what happended, I uploaded a pic and it gave me link's which I cut and pasted into the message. That side still works fine, the pic shows up as I wanted in the post. I just can't get the page with the codes to show up again when I go back on Uploadem.com site.

 

i see. never used uploadem (i guess...) - there are some with knowledge and experience with that imagehost.
maybe it´s the way the uploadem is programmed - there are lots of sites that dismiss data after giving the output and you have no chance to get back.

 

btw... at times i used imagesocket for sigs i cut off the - part of the 2.forum-link. usual...ontent.imagesocket.com/images/003ad.jpg[/IMG][/PHP]

when i used only the part between the -tags

i had fewer issues - maybe because this way there´s no referrer sent from phun to imagesocket.

 

Easiest was to do it if you happen to run into one of the imagesocket pages that doesn't give you the link for the full sized pic is:​

1. Click on the thumb it gave you.

2. When the thumb opens to the full sized image, right mouse click on the image. >> properties

​

3. Highlight and copy code in the properties box.

​

4. In the "Post New Thread" or "Reply To Thread" box click the button:

​

5. Paste the "Copied" code into the box​

​

​

6. Once you have all the other pics and data entered that you like, just hit the "Submit Reply" button as usual.​

imagesocket used to be amazing but it's definitely about 10% of the speed it was a few months ago.

 

Very true. Lately I've having trouble with this host, it likes the to freeze my computer and I have to reboot it.

 

am i doing something wrong with my sig? i'm using imagesocket like i always have and it's dying like every day (over bandwidth crap message)

what can i do to get a sig up, imagesocket or not?

 

mine is on imageshadow. others use uploadem.

Would 640pixels wide be OK ? I'm a numpty when it comes to resizing pic's.

 

give it a try. check via "preview" before creating a thread - and if you feel comfortable... go ahead
