  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Imagebam/adblocker?

    Those tools at imagebam have made it so I can't view images with adblocker working..... Anyone else having this problem? Anyone found a workaround for this? I am using firefox, and adblocker plus. Not really a huge big deal, but I hate ads, and scripts that hijack your browser (jasmin cam crap pupunder) Just wanted to raise the issue. Still Love Phun.

    Use NoScript add on with firefox and that will take away imagebam's adds, banners and pop ups.

    I already have the ads killed, but the problem is I can't view the images from clicking on them in the forum, and imagebam is the only problem child. I was just curious if anyone else had the problem, I will just ignore imagebam posts, no big deal.

    Are you running FF with NoScript liva? If so, I'd check your settings/script blocks. Methinks that may be the culprit. ;)

    I'm using firefox with adblocker and NoScript add ons and with imagebam I leave adblocker alone and let NoScript take care of the removing adds and pop ups. So I would install NoScript goto imagebam and start removing adblocker filters until the image shows up.

    Yeah, I have major problems with Imagebam. Every photo takes forever to load. It's almost as bad as being on a dial-up connection.............

    Unfortunately, imagehaven are now adopting the same principle as imagebam - but they use an "adult image/verify age" screen that you can't get rid of if NoScript is on. Of course if NoScript is off you get the insidious livejasmin! So by a slightly different approach they achieve the same effect as imagebam - no ads, no images!

    Are all imagehosts/sites/forums going to go down the same route? Any bets?

    I don't use NoScript but i can see images without the ads popping up. Ads are taken care of by Ad Muncher
