image hosting

what are decent image hosting sites to use that allow more than one file at a time? i have tried three since imagevenue got banned and none work

I like KMF (keepmyfile) for ease of U/Ling and file storage (you can host pics and vids.), plus you can go back at any time and see archived files.

I use imagehost-4u.com for hosting my hotlinked pictures (under 3 Mb)....It's free, but you get more options by registering, including avatar hosting, gif, png and other types.

shareavenue is for the BIG files (up to 15 Mb).

imagesocket is a good replacement for imagehigh (I generally host my sigs on imagesocket).

freeimagehost is basically the same as KMF, I have had a few more problems with FIH where not all the pics load and you end up with black thumbs, but that only happens every once in a while.....I would still recommend them.

rehostit and uploadem are pretty decent too, but they tend to have server issues at time and all your pics become little red x's.

Help???

 

Well, I think you can still use Imagevenue because I don't think it has been officially banned here. I just posted the info for the Mods to have a look.

 

Correct, we haven't banned imagevenue. I'm still using it for now, hoping things get cleared up.

 

ipled has spoiled me, and i'm curious that br said keepmyfile is good for easy downloading. is there a certain way that makes it easy?

can upload 30 images at the time.
no upload slots. just select the files you want to upload and let the site do the rest.

IPLED - I forgot what it stood for, but it was made and distributed to make the ease of "right-click, saving"
Imagevenue thumbs to pics an automated, smooth process.


I included the program itself, along with a two folders, 'Images' & 'Websites', to be put on your desktop.


I am not interested in getting into too much detail fo the explanation of how it works,
so here is Jet's simplified tutorial to working IPLED:


1) Find a page that has Imagevenue thumbs, only those links to the full-sized photos will be downloaded to your 'Images' folder.

2) Save the website's address by hitting "File-Save As..." to your 'Websites' folder.

3) Now run IPLED, open up your 'Websites Folder', DRAG-AND-DROP the HTML into the Queue, and the rest is automatic.


Three simple steps, with a log underneath to show you if you screwed it up somehow.
At times, I have noticed that maybe one or two pics didn't download because of 'corruption' or something.
If you really want all of the pics, then just find its address and manually download it by "right-click, save as".
But this is a very rare occurrence, and I doubt you will have any problems with this program.




This will make your imagevenue woes and scares of malware a little easier.

Now, that you mention it, I do remember seeing that great thread, a little too late I suppose. Strange, even after seeing it here, I downoladed elsewhere days later. :?
