  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    How about adding a section to the forum front page JUST for new users where links to the:

    Rules
    How-To-Post
    Where New Guys/Gals go to say yo
    Approved Host list

    and anything else that are frequent Noob problems can be put or linked to and ALL new users can be directed to read BEFORE they start making threads/mistakes or where they can be more easily directed by the old hands when they have questions, thus saving wear and tear on the mods. Also the section should be locked to posting by anyone but Mods to prevent problems like a certain gutless wonder from confusing things, or anyone else, well meaning or not for that matter. Just a thought I had.

    Another idea I had for a thread that could be under this Catch-All Section is for a "etiquette" thread, where things that are not necessarily RULES per se are listed which help to make the forum a 'nicer' place. Once again I think Mod controlled perhaps members could make suggestions for the thread to mods via pm.

    It's hard enough getting noobs to discover and read rules at the top of each forum they enter, without giving them a whole section they could ignore completely!

    I know that. That's why I didn't ask that right here. I understand you guys (mods) put up with a lot more than most people realize. I was just making a point to say before I fully completed my registration (and was unable to post) I read all the stickies regarding rules and etiquette.
