Why am I getting "502 Bad Gateway" errors again on the new posts (last 2-3 days)? It only happens with Firefox. This happened a few months ago but seemed to go away in a few weeks. Please help! I hate having to use IE.

it seems to happen every once in a while.

what I do is close all of my browsers and open them again. that usually helps.

I've had the same thing and had to use IE, but never came round to seeing what the problem is. Glad it's not just me.

i have yet to see it with IE so it could just be a FF browser issue.

Thanks for the responses. It definitely seems to only happen with FF, both older and current versions. I'll try the restart to see if that helps. Glad I'm not the only 1 with the prob either.

FF is eating too much ram and scripts running slow, slowing down the pc as last. FF3 still sucks! :p

    Test in a current magazine:

    Html
    1. Google chrome (beta):.......22,15 sec
    2. Firefox 3.1 Alpha 2 pre:......42,62 sec
    3. Internet Exlorer 8 Beta 2:...48,06 sec

    Java Script
    1. Google chrome (beta):........0.43 sec
    2. Internet Exlorer 8 Beta 2:....1.40 sec
    3. Firefox 3.1 Alpha 2 pre:.......2.52 sec

Bad DNS happens sometimes especially if the site you trying to access is too busy like this one(just look at the sheer number and list of people below).
On the other hand rapids_x makes me laugh with such survey it is useless because the RAM issue was dealt in the previous version.
In other ocassions I have had problems accessing some sites with IE and not FF so horses for courses.

I had it earlier and closed FF, cleared all private data and it's been fine since. Not sure whether it's a phun problem or not?

I have gotten it in both. Doesn't happen often for me and never on another site so I think its a busy thing and not a browser thing.

Choose "Use the following DNS server address" in your tcp/ip settings, then plug in 1 of the 2 Open DNS servers. No matter what browser you use this will help. You can get the DNS addresses and read up on open dns by googling "open dns".
