Bump if you hate spammers (please read)

Hi everyone.

I think you're all aware that there's a particularly determined deformed little spammer who continually registers and reregisters on here, living blind links to his virus-laden lair.

A lot of you are probably aware that previous guidance from the mods has been to leave the thread, and it'll get dealt with. However, I think this leaves a lot of us feeling powerless, and angry, and we want to give this tosser a piece of our mind, and warn the dumber members of the forum about it.

The mods gave us a tool to deal with these feelings a while ago. It's called a report thread. It's formally titled FORUM ISSUES, and is stickied in the About phun.org forum.

This is criminally underused, however. I took a screenshot of the people who've posted in there a few minutes ago:



Other people have used it, but less often, but still - it's a minority. A lot more of you have noticed the spam, and done nothing constructive about it.

Now, instead of just writing 'Spam' or 'fucking spammer, die!!!!!' or something like that in the thread, please make a note in the offending thread that you've reported it (or something to that effect - it stops 20 people reporting the same thread/user) and copy the address of that thread into FORUM ISSUES.

This also applies if you find a repost, or some banned content, or someone being particularly offensive, or anything else prohibited by the rules of the forum, which will be updated shortly. Make a note in the report thread of the offense, and leave a link.

It's dead easy, and it's a damn valid contribution for those of you that spend your lives saying that you get all your porn from here so have nothing to give back. Give back 30 seconds of your time, and make the entire forum better.

And for those of you that have never used a bump thread, it goes like this:

1) Read it
2) Reply with the word 'bump' (or a variant on this, or an amusing picture of an elephant sitting on something - you get the idea) - this keeps it at the top of the forum, so every user gets to see it.
3) When you see it lagging towards the bottom of page 3, bump it for fun, as in step 2.

I don't bother reporting it anymore because there are never any mods on at the time of day that it happens.....around 3-5pm British time.

Well i for 1 report the fuckers everytime, don't leave a reply i/t thread tho that it's reported, i will change that in the future. Isn't there a way to block his IP or something?

 

we did. He has dynamic Ip adress so it is impossible to do.

 

haven´t found a clue yet to "solve" this problem... he´s very busy in "hiding tracks"...

Spammers I hate too whether it is in a forum or email. They should be banned and just dun reply to there threads. Or that the admin closes or delete his topics
