Sig 1 hands down, and no offense to Sig 2 I just am blown away by the creative techniques #1 showcases.

#2's "&" sign looks pretty cool though, somewhat 3D and worked in well, although I don't know if I can say the same for the red brush strokes.

 

Voted for sig 2, just for some reason i liked it better.

 

Danm........both are very nice........Tho I agree w/ GBTG on the effects in # 1..........for some reason #2 appeals to me more..........

 

Voted for #2 because they pulled a gun out of a hat

Sig #1 feels incomplete. The shadows under the floaty hand and around the finger tip looks out of place

 

Man, this ones a toughy. There are a few tech problems with both, jaggies on the knuckles in #1 and Penn's shoulder in #2 and the like but nothing outstanding.

Style-wise

I love #1 except for the hard outline on the fade on the hand. The fade idea is excellent and if it had just eased out to nothing imo, it'd be very effective. The entire sig is very dynamic and the use of the MTG font with reflection is ace.

#2 is a direction that wouldn't have even occurred to me, and I like that a lot. I think the lack of any text at all hurts this one because if I didn't know it was magic as the theme, I would have guessed it was an excellent Penn & Teller sig. Also, it seems a bit busy with the spinning vortex.

All in all, I had to vote #1, because it told me what it was about plainly and dynamically, and that's what a sig is; a signature image. If you dont know what it's about at a glance, it loses a lot of clout.

Dont now the technicalities, just it appeared tn first glance more appealing..

 

Both great....voted sig #2 just becouse has poker cards in it.

Voted for #2.
The effects on number 1 are a bit too much for me. The effects are nice, just don't overdo it. The "magic sparks" also seem to erupt from somewhere in the middle of the finger, it would have been nicer if they came out of the tip. And the topaz filter is a great filter, but don't use it on everything, it's not needed here.

The effects on number 2 are not as "magical" as number 1, but the overall composition is nicer.

 

Very tough call, but i had to go with sig 1.
