Sure, if you check the properties for your pics during the creation or saving operation you can embed information about yourself and the system you used. The EXIF portion is like an mp3 files drm and copyright section for images. EXIF should be under "filehandling" at least it was in cs2 which was my last ps.

If you're really serious about marking your stuff you might try good old Steganos encryption. Ever seen a pic that absolutely looked normal except for a tiny grey smudge? Well, back in the late 90s there was some really seriously pissed off folks who posted their work and it got ripped off by the pay celeb sites (if I rem correctly, babylonx was one and so were many of the adult verification sites like adult pass) interesting thing is, steganos released their encryption technology around the same time. You guessed it, the celeb artists/scanners jumped all over it. those little grey smudges you'd see were encrypted messages like tags, sigs or information. they were almost invisible if done right and put in sensible places but some guys wanted to know their worx immediately and put them in exactly the same spot every time. Really, it was an excellent idea but, as time went on things got a lot bigger and after a while it fell by the wayside. (The incredible quality and sheer size of images has made signatures almost a thing of the past. If there's any sig at all these days it'll be discrete as a water drop in a rain storm.) Plus, styles change. Nobody releases series of worx like Tuna or graphic response or Zononzor anymore. Really, Nemesis or Taipan were a lot more social back then than I was they probably know what algorithm MiB used for steganos, but thats a guess.

steganos tool I used with win2k. I liked it but if you want better theres some fancy pay ones that do amazing stuff. Whats more, there are so many ignorant people online these days you can send yourself messages thru your pics pretty easy and not one soul in 10,000 will have any idea it even happened.

An md5 is a little harder to deal with, but once you get the hang of either, you have a much better chance of (for what it's worth) proving your work. I use linux in which md5s are a way of life but I imagine there are plenty of md5 hash tools for windows still around. I havent used this one but it ought to cover the basics.

On the cs3 front, if you "save for the web" instead of just "save as" cs3 strips all your exif data to save space. Even adobe found that one too retarded for words but you have to buy cs4 to get the fix.

I love the curve tool, all the dresses were black but look at the detail after colorizing to red. you can see the stitches in the seems.
