Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     I've seen this too, I found out I could solve it by deleting the cookie from the site. The problem starts when Firefox starts up after it didn't close properly and when it asks to restore, selecting ok. Or, when a plugin is used that always brings back Firefox like it was when closed.
    So I guess it is due to an outdated session id stored in the cookie.
