If I could explain what I was going for, because some of you made a point of noting that Rage is not one of the deadly sins.

The title of this sig was: Rage Against The Machine. The gears, the laughing skull, the gun aimed at it's heart. Which to me represented wrath.

Thanks again to all that voted for me, winning would be great, but just getting votes is a great kick in the motivational ass.

 

It was a gun aiming at a heart?

... I thought it was a robot face with Mickey Mouse's ears.

 

LOL! I guess I should have done a better job on the heart. Knowledge for next time.

Quick question - When Jamms does this years Phun awards - Will best sig have to be chosen from the sig of the week winners or will that have its own category ? ( Work on it Jamms )

 

Someone suggested that they be from the sotw winners which is a good idea seeing as last year there was no clear winner and that category took on a life of its own.

The only other options i can think of is that each sig maker submits what he thinks is his best work of the year and then run a sig of the year. The difference being that the sig maker has total control over his or her submission.

 

Thats a better suggestion

Makes the life of the voter 1/100000000000 easier than picking through so many awesome pieces of work

thank you very much everyone!! and thamks for the votes i will post my source images in a min, but it was really just a crop and a bit of topaz to make it look a bit more "sweet". i though it represented gluttony really well.

well my suggustion was SOTY. (year) where by the time of the awards we choose which is the best sig from all the previous SOTW winners.
but we could have two seperate sig awards, because i love the idea of each artist also putting forward their favourite piece of work for voting too.
but if you only want one sig award for the phun awards then we can just wait until this thread is a year old and then hold the SOTY as a seperate comp.

so as i was saying, i put some topaz on it to give it more of a "sweet" effect. pillow emossed the letters and picked out some colours from the sprinkles/hundreds and thousands for the letters.

 

IMO, I dont think SOTY should be based on any contest prior to the Phun awards. It should be like last year, where voters chose whatever they wished. I understand the recent explosion of sig makers and all their works will make it more difficult but, there are worthy sigs in Phun that have never been in a contest or even submitted into one of the sig threads. They should not be excluded.
