    I tried but I couldn't get it look right.

    here is an earlier version with worse looking smoke but I at least tried to fit the name in there. I can't remember how I did it though.

    This one has great potential. Try flattening the text into the smoke b/g and then using the smudge tool very lightly to give the text itself a slightly smoky edged effect. Might work well with the b/g.

    I like this one too, with the smoke extending straight out. Try placing a more flourished text into the smoke in black or a darker gray then fading that text layer (using the layer opacity) into the smoke. You could also try distorting the text to follow the width of the smoke as it expands. EDIT>TRANSFORM>PERSPECTIVE or a couple of other options along that path. Even further, it would be a perfect candidate for the white background converted to Phun Blue.
