why do we even have a request topic ???

 

There is no mistake. This is where you make requests for sigs and providing the photos you wish to see helps a lot. The request thread only adds confusion IMO. Request one place then post another? Just doesnt seem logical or practical.

 

TLC, Never would I mind you improving my sig I have been struggling with, thank you. You have done an amazing job with this. You have even brought out some great details that were not visible on the original image of the gent on the left and reduced the red and perfected the detail on Keira.

I was following the steps that you mentioned above but could never get the border to appear. I think the mistake I was making is that I was not using the "CTRL D" to deselect.

I will practice creating the borders today because I do like the sig better with Jamms suggestion of a border and the one that you created. It is not too much and does not cause any distractions.

making a border, click ctrl-a, have the maquee tool selected and then right click and stroke

 

The request thread needs to be deleted.

 

Hope you dont mind me taking a go at this also. Its an excellent sig and concept which makes it fun to play around with. My first step was isolating Kiera with the lasso tool and reducing the hue. Some dodge brought a more blondish tone to her fly-away hair. Just for fun I put in some parchment map and compass elements into the background. That was simply an added layer on top of everything, reduced the opacity and rough cut your main characters back out with the eraser tool. A touch of contrast, a thin border, sharpening/defining Kiera's sword were the last steps.

 

Aus, your sig is gonna be hanging in a museum before long. I really enjoy watching the progression of this.

 

Thank you SilentB. You have done some great work on this. I also like the add of the parchment and compass. It fills that center area which I had been looking for ideas and testing.
