AVG Antivir totally rocks. I never had a single problem with Virus/Malware since I installed it. And it doesn't cost a thing...like J.Lo would say!

 

HijackThis:

A general homepage hijackers detector and remover. It is continually updated to detect and remove new hijacks. It does not target specific programs/URLs, just the methods used by hijackers to force you onto their sites.
As a result, false positives are imminent, and unless you are sure what you're doing, you should always consult with knowledgable folks before deleting anything.

a little pc-knowledge can´t hurt, but this is a damn nice tool to make a boot-cd with a "running" windows.

 

HJSplit 2.3:

Very nice looking freeware file splitter. It splits files of any type and size. Does not need to be installed. Just click on hjsplit.exe and the program starts.
This program can even handle files which are larger than 10Gb!
