16;9 is the favored ratio today
so : 1600x900, 1920x1080, 3840x2160.

Most of my stuff is 1920x1080, but if the source pics are big I do 3840x2160, which is 4k video size for big monitors.

example I just did while watching BoB for the 450,000,000 time.

I start with a base empty image in the size i want, then fill it in with content. It makes it real easy to position stuff. working by source pic size is hell because what if you have 5 different sizes?

Well, almost 100% of the time, I am working from Vidcaps.. So 720p/1080p, etc.. So my image sizes are the same. I batch convert them into a working size I want, 1/2 height of total collage, so I can do 2 rows,
Example Tricia Helfer:

Started with 720p (1280X720) Batch resize to 1077X606, Collage 1200hX1400w, have rulers turned on in PS.

 

If I start with a 1920x1080, and I want two rows, I just resize height to 540 (1/2 of 1080) . That way I will keep the 16x9 ratio.

I kept the original size width, but cropped height to 16:9. Oh, it's Paulina Porizkova.
It's rather disheartening to see how few views the CB gets anymore. This place used to have good traffic. Now it's just a few of us. Kinda sad really.

This one was a new kind of editting for me. I did Cindy my standard way, but didnt want that monotone for the rest of the piece. I tried using an equalized layer to get back to normal looking background, then removed that layers Cindy (because she was teal blue and purple) to and underlying layer where I had fixed her up. Then it was all line work because the original was (once again from this shoot) an editted cut-in. You can see under her how the shadows are just not right in the original. I mostly just left this alone.

Long time without edits. I was 4 times at the Love Sux Tour from Avril and I'm still overwhelmed. I want to make some edits from my pics, but I don't wanna ruin them because of lack of time. So I made some easier ones for now. The last one of Avril is from Germany. The center pic is from Munich (where I was) and the sides are from Hamburg.
