    The future, for sure. If you go to the past you'll probably catch an eradicated disease that they don't have a vaccine for yet, and you don't have antibodies because it's an eradicated disease in the present.

    You realize the reverse is true, going into the future, you could bring a disease or bacteria that doesn't exist any longer and be patient zero to end of civilization.

    I'd never meet the so-called "friends' from highschool, never meet my ex-wife, I'd study computers like a motherfucker, buy that Amiga the first time around, invest in m$, patent round corners on handheld electronics of every kind, grab as much real estate as i can, buy as many pre-70 Ferraris (any, race cars, wrecks, whatever) as I can get funding for, keep my 71 challenger.
    By 1991 I'd have enough cash to live comfortably off shore in the Carribean, and I'd just sell a Ferrari every few years to keep things liquid, while having had a 15 year head start on fucking over all the big computer companies for IP.

    Oh, and figure out a way to bankrupt disney so they would never destroy all media like theyve done today.

    Time travel is not pleasant to contemplate. Travel back a few decades in time and none of the folks you knew and loved would recognise you!
    The hypothetical science of time travel doesn't de-age you, and your younger self would be wandering around too! You just wouldn't fit in!

    Conversely, travel forward in time a few decades and pretty well everyone you currently know would be dead!
    You probably wouldn't comprehend the science of the day and the World would be a nightmare! You just wouldn't fit in!

    Has someone compensated for the revolution of the earth around the sun so we don't end up in space because the Earth isn't in the exact location it is in present day before time traveling?

    Also, if we go back in time and there's a tree there that isn't there now, we might time travel into the middle of a tree, or building wall that's not there anymore either. That could be a problem.
