Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams Have Incredible Sex in Disobedience

This year’s Toronto Film Festival has been heavy on biopics and not nearly heavy enough on steamy romances.

Very thankfully, that all changed today with the welcome infusion of Disobedience, a beautifully tense tale of forbidden love in a small Orthodox Jewish community in north London, between two best friends from girlhood, played by Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams.

The Rachel-on-Rachel action I know you’re dying to hear about is en fuego [on fire]

Weisz plays Ronit, ... She smokes, she dresses casually, ... goes to a bar, gets drunk, and has wrenching, grief-stricken sex in a bathroom with an unidentified man.

Esti [McAdams] has been showing signs of perhaps not totally conforming.

Then one day, while helping Ronit run one of the many errands of grieving, they kiss. It is at once tender and urgent, the passion of two people drinking each other in as if discovering water after a long and lonely existence of being parched.

Those intimate kisses clearly are not their first. The two women were caught together once as teens, a fact that, we soon find out, the entire community knows.

Unable to be apart but unable to be together in public or at home, they escape to a hotel, where that mind-blowing meeting of the Rachels can finally be released. The two drink each other in again, but this time with unhindered relish, McAdams’s Esti groaning as Weisz’s Ronit undoes the crotch of her bodysuit with her teeth, Esti searching every contour of Ronit’s mouth with her tongue, then the ecstasy as they each reach inside the other’s underpants. They are simultaneously ravenous and exquisitely thorough. Though the moment almost everyone will be talking about will be when Weisz straddles McAdams and gently spits into her mouth, as McAdams eagerly receives it and asks for more, and more again.

Is it graphic? Yes. Is it sexy and gorgeous? Yes, again. Is it a tad male-gaze-y? Sure, but also incredibly erotic to watch as a woman. Most of all, though, it’s moving, and very different from the coming-of-age lesbian scenes of Blue Is the Warmest Color and The Handmaiden. Here are two grown women who’ve done this before and are well past the discovery phase. Their only desire is to give pleasure to and receive it from one another, and they’ve been stymied for so long by circumstances: Esti because she cannot be who she is if she wishes to retain the life she’s built, and Ronit because the woman she loves cannot make the same choices that she has.

No nudity it seems though...

 

All these descriptions and not a single mention of nudity. If the sex scenes in this movie don't have nudity, then they're pointless to me.

 

According to a few comments on Recapped, there's no actual nudity in the spitting scene.

That movie likely won't come out this year. Festival movies usually take a long time to come out, sometime even years. I've been waiting to see Olivia Cooke's three nude scenes from Katie Says Goodbye for a long time now and it doesn't look like it's gonna happen anytime soon.

 

I hate waiting....

 

No Nudity = Worthless!

 

Prompted by this news I decided to look up what's new with the Eva Green/Gemma Arterton lesbian movie, and learned that Eva has been replaced by Elizabeth Debecki.

This is a dark day.

 

Disobedience Complete Nudity Review (Source : Recapped) (All hail the nudity gods) :

Rachel McAdams is nude in Disobedience, just not during the much talked about love scene with Rachel Weisz.

At roughly 30 minutes in, Rachel McAdams’ character strips down before getting into bed with her husband for their weekly sex session. Brief butt from behind and she’s sitting on the bed and then brief breasts as she slides under the covers. Well lit.

Then around the 57 minute mark, McAdams’ character takes a shower. She’s topless behind the shower curtain but you can’t make out much. Then when she gets out of the shower she’s shown completely nude from the waist up in a mirror over her husband’s shoulder. Well lit but unfortunately it is completely out of focus!

The much talked about love scene between McAdams and Weisz is just as described elsewhere. No nudity but very hot. Lots of writhing and moaning from both, hands in underwear, and of course McAdams having her mouth spit into three times by Weisz. People with that particular fetish will have a field day with this one. McAdams does pull down Weisz’s shirt near the start of the scene to suck on her breast, but Weisz’s boob is covered by McAdams’ hair. Well lit. Both are seen lying bottomless after the scene, but Weisz’s lower half is out of frame and her hair is covering McAdams’ crotch.

 

That's certainly a step down. I guess all hope lies on that Alicia Vikander-Eva Green movie - Euphoria. Sounds promising.

 

Debecki's hot... step sideways IMHO

 

I find her ok IMHO. She was fine in The Night Manager. But she's nowhere near Eva Green. You can't deny that m8

It's good to see Rachel McAdams getting naked again after a while, even if it's just brief nudity. She has a very nice butt.
