This mega thread contains a huge number of posts with outrageous violation of forum rules!

 

We define a site rip as a megathread dedicated to the content of a single source, for example, only FTV videos, or only Reality Kings, or only X-Art. Hotside's thread clearly has content from many different sources. As for the rest, it will be dealt with accordingly. And again, you don't need to post 20 links when 5 or 6 will prove your point just as well.

 

Yeah, it's kind of cryptic. But, vague enough to leave be.

Some of the restrictions are unrealistic if we're going to allow megathreads, and need to be revisited. Until that time, if individual posts in SVF megathreads meet the criterion of individual threads posted in SVF, then we can live with that. A number of the SVF rules, while created with the best of intentions, are occasionally the result of a knee jerk reaction to a unique situation that down the line only prove to make moderation more difficult. The 5 video clips per site is one such rule. I can't even recall what possessed me to add that clause, but in hindsight it's ridiculous.

 

I don't think you added it as much as included it from previous rule threads, I seem to remember a discussion in the Mod forum that came to that numbers inclusion.

 

That's entirely possible. The rules from all the forums need to be reviewed on a regular basis, especially SVF since they're so extensive. No doubt, it's time for another review. I'm not a big fan of megathreads myself and would prefer to stop the formation of any new ones, which is why mod approval is now required, in addition to the 1500 post threshold.

It's no secret that there are porn portals such as DDFNetwork, 21sextury, Teenmegaworld, Realitykings and others, which have 30-40 sites and watermark these portals doesn't mean a single site. But FTVgirls it's a single site and any video from the site is a separate video clip with the original number and title. If the user has put in one post a lot of video clips and called it one title that doesn't mean that ten (for example) video clips - this is one video. This mega thread has more than ten FTV posts and each post contains more than a dozen video clips. Thus, this mega thread contains more than a hundred video clips from one site. This supersiterip! I don't understand the reason why there was a heated discussion about this mega thread if rules prohibit more than five videos from one site in one mega thread. If there are exceptions, these exceptions must be specified in the rules, but the rules don't have such exceptions.

P.S. It's time to update the rules and remove the prohibition of more than five video or specify exceptions to the rule. And explain who of the members of the Forum has the right to make siterips.

He won't be posting FTV videos anymore, at least not in groups like he was.

We've begun to review the Sexy Videos rules as we speak. All changes will be reposted in one go, but as far as the 5 video rule goes, feel free to ignore it from now on as it no longer applies.

As far as site rips go, collectively speaking, the Sexy Videos forum is one big, giant site rip. We just forbid individual megathreads that are dedicated to ripping one particular site at the exclusion of all others. Several years ago the forum ran afoul of ******** as the result of a ******** site rip thread, which is the foundation of the rule. If you require further clarification of any or all of the rules I will happily continue the conversation via PM.

im using adblock on my IE so i dont get any unwanted crap. Either way its likely something that is connected to imagebam. There are rpobably tons of adware that they dont know about. If nothing else thanks for the headsup as we constantly discuss imagehosts.

 

Yeah image hosts are terrible these days. It looks like Imagebam just did some kind of redesign and maybe they changed advertisers at the same time or are using a new domain to serve the ads from. Ad blocking only works if the domain that loads the ad is on your filter list. So check that. You might need to add a manual exception until your list catches up.

Or you could use something like NoScript to disallow all JS from Imagebam and it's associated 3rd party domains. That will block any popups, guaranteed. But it also breaks their image resizing.
