A picture of the bay from earlier today. That's San Francisco in the far distance.

 

Amazing, because today I was marveling at the remaining 2-3-foot snow piles left by the plowing! :shock:

 

Everything else is basically grass, with a tiny mix of leftover snow.

 

There is a frightening lack of snow on the Sierras. The drought is going to ruin that agricultural economy of the west if something doesn't change soon.

 

I hope it gets better out there as fast as possible, Scribe.

 

Tell it to Mother Nature. Ain't nothin' you or I can do about it. :?

 

That will cost everybody more money at the grocery store too!

 

Yes it will. The variety of produce grown in this state is mind boggling.

I have a couple of shattered molars where there's nothing left but roots. They both had fillings at one point but just died, which is why they became brittle and broke into bits. The first one that broke apart bled bad when it happened and I had no recourse other than my wits, so I went to the pharmacy and bought a pack of pultices, which I soaked in whiskey (optional) and just bit down on, keeping the pressure up. The bleeding stopped after a couple days and eventually the gum healed. This was at a time I couldn't afford a dentist and had no other options. That was about 15 years ago.
