Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     he and Laettner acted the same way in their 30 for 30's. Tried to show they moved on from those personas and are now different people. :D

    I liked the 30 for 30 because it brought up great memories of those duels with Duke all those many years ago.

    It was cool that kids stayed in school and you knew who you were playing.

    of course no way I would advise kids these days NOT to take the money if they were ready.

    This may be a result of Willis and Borland retiring early, but shame on any parent that would let their child leave college, without a degree, for a payday. Just my personal opinion as I didn't have the option of going to college.

    I understand what you're saying, but I wouldn't take the choice away. I think the leave early stuff works great for top players. If you're Lebron James and ready, you can earn enough to last your lifetime in a handful of years ... He can get a degree anytime he wants after he retires. I'd think that business school would come easy for him with all the real life stuff he's been exposed to.

    Average players run the risk of being unable to compete (especially when it comes to maturity and mental toughness). I don't think the NBA experience is much fun when you aren't ready. Another yeah or two at a major university would be so beneficial to these kids IMHO.

    I believe the Corey Maggette situation still weighs heavily on me. He was awesome at Duke and, as far as I can remember, the first of the leave early players under Coach K's tutelage. Huge flop in the NBA.

    I have to go, but I wonder if Coach K advised him to stay in school but Corey ignored it. Sometimes they don't listen to reason ....
