    It's not like I can power the whole neighborhood. During a blackout I can keep the heat going, fridge and freezers, all the outside lights, and some of the interior.

    For some reason, the transfer switch failed this morning. Add that to my to-do list....:pat:

    The West Coast dock workers' strike has caused shipping delays that have affected the whole country for weeks now. It looks like they might be ready to negotiate with the shipping companies now though.

    One of the wife's co-workers went to Hawaii recently. Dock workers were on strike there. She said Walmart was almost completely empty!!!! :yikes:

    They are mostly restless as they expect it, but don't understand why it is not happening........after a while, they settle down. I think maybe Amelie has managed to put the fact that it is raining and we don't do dog walks in the rain, but Domenic is clueless. :lol:
