    most cars are pretty good these days with all weather tires, anti-lock brakes and traction control, etc. Usually the DRIVER is the weakest part of the system!

    I can only imagine how cool it would be to do it as well as you did it when you were a working musician.

    non of those things help out a bit when trying to go uphill on an icy road with a little fresh snow on top, unless of course sliding backwards into the ditch is what you had in mind.

    yeah, I guess I bought into all the good time stories I've heard. Was more referring to being onstage and really being good at something and getting noticed for it.

    It seems that most musician have endured a "starving artist" period ... for years and years.
