If you could have a brand new computer, what would you get?

 

The Super Bowl has started.

 

I'd probably buy the parts and build it myself in order to get good parts inside instead of just going to a store and buy a brand computer with cheap off the shelf parts with limited quality.. but that would also get expensive.

if I were to choose an off the shelf brand I would go with an Acer

 

The trick now will be all the people who won't get to work because of the snow. It's gonna be quite a morning. :?

 

No plows in my parking lot yet. Leo and I could hardly walk out there. Leo kind of had to leap instead of walk.

 

maybe you should get yourself a 4wd truck, then fit a plow on it.. that way you would be safe.

Me? If money was no object I'd probably get one of those trashcan Mac Pros and a couple 4K-ish monitors.

You? Given that you're already using a Mac, I'd go for a Macbook Air. Highly portable and yet you could hook up an external monitor to get the best of both worlds. That's going to be my next machine probably, actually.

Unless you don't want another Mac. In that case, it depends on desktop vs laptop. For a desktop, I'd go with TheOne's suggestion. Even if you don't build it yourself, there are places where you can configure your own. For a windows laptop, I'd probably go with one of those Dell XPS models.

Just checked to see if there was a truck coming in this blizzard. There is, so as of now I start work at 4:30 a.m.

I just cleaned out the freezer and cooked beef and chicken breasts so I would not have to take the time to do that later in the week....I am low on veggies, so will go to the stores tomorrow to stock up on those.
