    It was leaking oil like crazy .

    In October I pushed my car to the nearest shop because it didn't start.
    Turns out it was the starter.
    I haven't worked in a car since my 71 camaro .
    But somehow they took my timing chain off to replace the starter and put the timing chain on wrong and that messed up my valves .
    They put in a rebuilt engine
    And that is what was leaking

    Painter done for the day and is packing up to leave.....about 30 more minutes before I can let the dogs in the house.....2 hours late on their supper, so I gave them a bit extra. Dogs are a bit confused by the change in their schedule and banishment in either my room or the backyard.

    I paid cash for my 2001 Durango from the small estate left to me by my parents who both died in 2000.....I bought it with the notion that it may be the last car I buy. It is garage kept, 14 years old, and I have no intentions of selling it. It has less than 70K miles on it. I intend to fix and repair forever as necessary.

    My Ram bit the dust. The transfer case is shot and the tranny is on it's last leg..... I got my money out of it though.

    BTW: it's a 97 and it has 319,000+ miles on it.

    My previous vehicle was a Ram B-100 Commercial van......1975, 318 w/ 3 on the column. Sold it in the fall of 2000 with 450k+ miles. I have only had good luck with Dodge Trucks and SUV.....the wife had a 1987 RamCharger.....don't know the mileage when I traded it in on a Durango for her in fall of 1997, but it survived two sons! It too was a 318 v-8.
