Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     The car was towed from the small repair shop to the dealership. Someone mentioned "head gasket." :shock: (I'm not convinced it's that.)

    That is about the easiest thing to fix related to mixing coolant and engine oil.....at least that I know of.

    That is my experience when you mix coolant and engine oil.....or coolant in the exhaust. (or both)

    A car can blow a head gasket virtually without warning frequently....if that were the case, you could have dumped coolant into your cylinders via the air intake conduit. That would cause an engine to quit suddenly. I do not know what level of electronics you have on your car, but many have sensors that will detect a problem and kill the ignition.

    It can happen. The water jacket and oil ports are in close proximity. The head, where the tolerances are much less, is likeliest suspect. Better hope that rather than a block, but than again, you would know that.
