Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Back in 1985 I used Swedish technology related to roadway pavement condition assessment and maintenance management....they developed laser cameras that tied directly into a computer and data storage...all this was mounted into a standard commercial van. To make a long story short, I got accurate roadway data for the entire City, the software to both assess the data and develop a city wide roadway maintenance program in less than half the time and half the cost of the then standard means to accomplish this....in fact, there was no PC based pavement management system available at that time here in the USA....only huge, main frame programs that were fairly inflexible related to adjustments to match local climate and ground water conditions. This was one of my best decisions made (thinking outside the box) during the time I was Public Works Director.
