So Michigan and Florida are looking for new head football coaches.....

 

A QB recruit from a high school around here says he's staying at Michigan. Good news. (Michigan made the right decision. I wouldn't know about Florida?)

 

It seem Coach Muschamp did everything right except win enough games....he did clean up the program related to poor conduct by players...you know, arrest reports. Maybe FSU should hire him as they have had player conduct issues for years....make that decades.

 

Florida seems to be a place where athletes go to get in trouble!

 

So the next Christmas movie has begun, and I haven't changed the channel. I think my brain is telling me not to watch sports or crime TV shows.

 

Urban Meyer averaged about 3 arrests a year while he was here and that did not sit well with the University....Muschamp had one the first of four years he was here...a big improvement. Player GPA raised under Muschamp as well as civil participation, etc. Florida is looking at .....

Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley is closing in on hiring the Gators' next head football coach.

Foley flew to Fort Collins, Colorado, on Tuesday afternoon to interview Colorado State head coach Jim McElwain, who has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Will Muschamp.

Yep....DUI, pot, bar fights, etc.

I think Michigan scares the shit out of its athletes somehow. Not much trouble there. Michigan State is a little looser, but not much.

 

I guess I shall see what is on the tube here......

I think Muschamp had little tolerance for bad behavior....I know several players over the years under him were booted off the team for violation of team rules, but the violations were not defined.....could have well been something that could get them arrested so they were sent packing.

 

Sounds like the Michigan teams.

 

I hated reading about Florida athletes being arrested....I fully support no tolerance policies...

 

I'd better make some dinner!

 

Had to go downstairs to see why the dogs were raising a ruckus......6 deer in my front yard....I went out side to shoo them off....tranquility has returned to the House of Thore.
