    no. it started as a way to celebrate a good harvest with a feast. it is a good holiday because other than eating too much there are not so many responsibilities. :)

    Christmas is bigger and more activity.

    We lost that harvest feast, we have ours in August ... Crayfish and "Surströmming"
    Only feast later is "MÃ¥rtensafton" (St. Martin's Day) on 11th November.
    (i think ...)

    At this time of the year we already keep inside and hope for a easy winter ... i know TheOne does !
