    For 12 years I had Buildings Management Division within the Public Works Department for the City.....Had all aspects of building maintenance, housekeeping, planning, renovations, and construction to deal with. I learned an great deal, but mostly to have a great professional staff with extensive experience to cover my butt! :lol:

    I'm addicted to anything zombie!!!! There's a new series on syfy that is called Z Nation that is good also. I watched the first 5 episodes this past Sunday morning. It comes on Friday evenings.

    I never had a problem with that.....when I took over, the staff was suffering from low moral. I observed for a week or so, then started meeting with most of the ones I saw potential in to see what their ideas were to make their tasks easier to do, i.e., tools, materials, contracts modifications, communications....almost all of them responded in a very positive manner, had great ideas, and became very supportive of me. It seems no manager had ever treated them in such a manner. I would always involve the section chiefs in budget preparations, contract development and review, etc. I have stayed in touch with many of them even after I retired and some of them are retired too.

    I'm liking a couple of the new ones. Red Band Society is really good, I can associate with it being in the medical field. I like Forever, the main character is immortal. Really like Scorpion ,too. Just a few for you to check out. BTW, Z Nation is a must if you like the whole zombie apocalypse thing.

    I think you are partially right there PM. There are a great majority that want to be heard, yet need to be ordered around. My asst. is that way. He's great as long as I'm holding hand. When I let him freelance, he doesn't get anything done. He's the type that only wants his 8 hours to be done and over with. Not ideal but I can cope.
