Because eventually traders keep running into each other and realize that they have the same stuff, so it's worthless. This disincentivizes sellers as well so once saturation occurs, a leak is inevitable. However, sometimes you'll have a guy that just leaks while it still has value, or may be completely unknown to most of us, because... fuck it, why not, I guess?

Anyway, concerning the cycle of leaks, trying to plan it or anything is David Icke-tier nonsense.

 

A leak of a few pics is fun but a massve leak like lhe fappening will make new product less likely. Apple is going to change their security. heck I even changed the settings on my phone and nobody wants to see me naked believe me

 

There's nothing that creative about cracking emails. Apple's security shifts won't do anything as long as two-factor authentication is just opt-in.

People, enough with just throwing out names completely at random and hoping something develops. That never even works...well, except for when I and some others mentioned Milana Vayntyub (if legit) after the Carly Foulkes leak. But OTHER THAN THAT, I'm pretty sure it never works.

By the way, 120-days-of-oxfordshire , do you know anything about those Milana (aka the AT&T girl) pics? A thumbcap did suggest more to come, but the only nudes so far are tough to verify.

120, I know you've mentioned on other boards that Kim Kardashian's leak apparently not connected to the Fappening circle of traders you're familiar with. Can you say which other leaks have come from outside your circle? At least then we'd know have a better idea of what questions not to bother with. You also don't know anything about the wrestling girls, correct? Lori Heuring's name isn't on the original master list, but her leaks were early, and appear totally legit. Another external leak? (Geez, that sounds dirtier than I intended)

 

Someone is going to jail and it will be a collector that gets the 10 years that Christopher Chaney got or maybe more years due to the size of some of these collections. They won't catch the hackers this time and they are going to need someone to take the blame with these millionaires wanting someone in prison. It will be some 20 something collector college student like 120-days-of-oxfordshire who can't get a good lawyer who will be sent away.

These collectors like him may as well spread these around now that the FBI is tracking all these releases. The more people that have them the less likely 120-days-of-oxfordshire will be the one that they arrest for possession of stolen property and even without evidence they will say he hacked them to get them.

Apple already changed their security and with their two step verification now it isn't even worth a hacker's time on the risk of being caught to try and hack it. Near impossible to get by that now.

Which is the best they could do. Make it so hard that a hacker won't even bother. It is like how they make bank safes. Every one of them is crackable and can be broken into. But the idea is to make it so hard that no robber would even attempt it.

No. That's not how it works. Christopher Chaney got 10 years because he committed multiple counts of wire fraud and hacking for gain. Those are big-time felonies. They couldn't charge any of the collectors with that. The most they could give them is posession of stolen property, maybe criminal conspiracy, but all of that shit would get bargained down to fines and probation. While it's possible that they come down on some of them, there's so many people trading, and so little to charge them with I doubt the feds are putting their resources into it.

It could take several years, but they'll get the hackers. It took them over a year to get Chaney and he didn't even use Tor or hide his IP. They might not get ALL of them--since I believe this is shit a bunch of people did--but they get some. There's literally no way to hide. If the hackers accessed the iCloud accounts, it's just a matter of tracing it. They might have to unravel a long trail of Tor proxies and VPNs, but they will, eventually. Like you said, someone will pay, but it's gonna be someone who actually accessed the accounts, so they can put them in priosn, rather than arrest a trader and watch him get community service.

These hackers are just fucking lucky that it was never exposed that Apple was at fault for these pictures being leaked and hacked or the FBI would have arrested all of them yesterday with a billion dollar funding from Apple themselves to pay for the expensive investigation process.

If Apple stock tanked after these leaks there would have been hell to pay and Apple would make sure there were no deals and if the hackers got away without a 20 to life sentence Apple would be suing them for every penny they owned after they left prison.

The hackers got shit lucky that Wall Street didn't react at all to the hacking. If the iPhone 6 failed to sell because of the hacking it would have been a nightmare for the whole hackers ring.

Lol. Private companies don't fund federal investigations. And apple isnt at fault. They werent even hacked, not really. Nobody broke into apples servers, as they said in their initial release. People were just guessing passwords.

They are still there. I suspect that you are just reading through the list of threads in the Celeb Extra section, but we only show threads bumped in the last week by default. Try searching or adjusting the date cutoff.

 

We've gone over a lot of this already, but as a reminder that I'm going to start linking to, keep the following in mind before posting in this thread:

• Stay civil. If you are skeptical of all this or of what somebody thinks or claims to know, fine. If you feel people are wrongly skeptical of your posts, I get that as well. But, no personal attacks. Debate the ideas and facts, but avoid attacking the person or getting nasty about it.

The owner has decided that Q&A and discussion is fine, but it should stop short of trading, selling, and original leaking, etc.
