The Fappening - leaks discussion (don't post pics in this thread)

Nah it was just crashing the servers. Now it has been fully banned by the admins of reddit and removed.

 

The original one was. But several others were in its place, but both of the ones that I was following were banned earlier today.

 

One of the live threads was banned in the first day or two, I think. But today they banned at least 3 whole subreddits and a another new one created since then. I'd guess this is pretty much over and has been for days, but if it kicks back up, Reddit probably won't be the best place for it.

Are you guys talking about that picture with the red blanket on the bed and the British flag in the back? If so, then that doesn't look like Kaley at all.

 

A new "supposed" pic of Kaley was posted. But her face is obscured. And what little face you see doesn't really look like her.

And the girl in the pic is topless but she's covering her boobs with her hand. So you don't see anything. It's not even worth seeking out IMO.

 

I posted it the Kaley Cuoco thread, you're most likely right but I thought there should be a debate.

We need to figure out the motive behind the leaks. Maybe after the hacker's pride is wounded, he'll start releasing more pics.

Unfortunately it looks to be over. r/TheSecondCumming, r/Fappening, r/TheRealFappening, r/thefappening all dunzo.

 

I think it was money.

 

I think the motive was greed. The guy wanted people to send him Bitcoins so he would leak more pics and videos.

 

So maybe we need to figure out how to give the hacker money in a more transparent way. Or perhaps, he'll think things through and figure out a more untraceable solution. I'm not holding out hope, but the potential still exists. He definitely has a ton of shit not shared yet.

 

It doesn't look as if there was one hacker or one leaker so there's no "he". And I'd bet the only motives at first were the obvious ones: to get naked celeb pics, to get something otherwise forbidden, to get something you can sell, etc. The most popular and plausible account so far goes something like this…

• Multiple people have been hacking, privately trading, maybe privately selling these pics for quite a while
• Somebody got hold of some partial sets, likely previews as proof for a potential sale/trade
• Those got leaked and caused a bunch of attention
• The multiple people that had various sets began dumping or trying to sell them thinking that everything might get dumped and they'd lose their value (the people asking for bitcoin at first)
• People began trying to scam for bitcoin as well by using already released pics or preview folder screenshots as proof
• Fakes, lookalikes, and previous leaks started getting added to the pile as it all spiraled out of control

That accounts for the initial leak, at least as far as I've paid attention. If I got something wrong, feel free to point it out. As for this new fappening_report guy, there are a few theories floating around. From most to least probable in my opinion…

• He's another person with a partial/preview set and trying to get people to send/trade real sets.
• He's another person with a partial/preview set and is just trolling people for fun.
• It's some kind of law enforcement honeypot aiming to find actual leakers or buyers
• It's some kind of hoax/troll for a tv show

 

Even if you knew who to pay (other than that fappening report guy), this sounds difficult especially to crowdfund since it probably amounts to criminal conspiracy. I can't speak for cayne, but I'd bet he doesn't want that going on at Phun. So let's not get into that here.

 

I believe it was a celebrity hacking ring with one gone astray with the leaks. By 'we', I mean euphemistically anyone wanting to the view the pics Internet-wide, myself included. Obviously it would need be done in a less transparent way, not more.... damn brain fart.

 

I don't think there is any other way to do it other than Bitcoin.

Why would anyone give money to these fucking criminals? Some of you are giving these guys too much power. Fuck them and their stolen pics, if they want to post them then post them otherwise they can fuck off.
