If authorities do not catch them and somehow make sure all the data is perma-deleted, several people have been and are going to hoard all that, well, R-rated material of JLaw and whatever else they gathered for a long time. By now everybody knows what is out there and basically, everyone on the list (at least the one that got published on 4chan) has a potential future leak to look forward too, kind of. Kind of dark.

 

Good Read! I remember back when the ScarJo pics leaked, someone on another forum was saying there was a huge collection of hacked pics on the 'darknet' (as he put it) that had come together over the years from various hackers, and those ScarJo pics are from that. I always thought he was talking poop, he obviously wasn't.

 

The moral debate is ultimately pointless. I just want to see the tits and ass.

I found Nik's account to be the plausible so far, but that's what you get when you have somebody with actual security experience studying it in depth rather than random opinions (mine included) or non-tech bloggers copying each other and writing for the page views and sensationalism of it. I found a few things particularly interesting:

• The "roles" he mentions.
• That he hasn't seen the brute force vulnerability talked about at all. This means that this could've been a hell of lot worse than it was if they had known about or starting using this earlier or if it hadn't been patched immediately once a working script was public.
• Apple's multi-step verification process. I hope they fix that and I bet they will, but I wonder how soon.
• He mentions "deleted files", but I wonder if that only applies to those that use full iCloud backups or if it is recently deleted files live from the device itself. Probably the former.

It's an interesting article but it doesn't really offer much new information. I also disagree that "this is only scratching the surface". I think there's a really good chance that most of the good material has already leaked out and most of the material relating to the rest of the women in that list has to be pretty lame since there aren't any sort of previews available and all the different sources who've leaked or tried to sell stuff always mention the same women (Lawrence, Upton, Victoria Justice, Maroney, sometimes Ritter and Aubrey Plaza) so the rest of them must not have much "valuable" material available. I believe that if something is really of great value (like a jennifer lawrence sex video) then it would inevitably leak out to the public since there would be so much interest in it that it would become practically impossible to keep it hidden. This is why I think that things such as a jennifer lawrence bj video simply do not exist and that the photos of the other celebs who didn't leak aren't as good as Jennifer Lawrence's or Kate Upton's.

Interesting in all of this is how so many people are coming to find out about the darknet on the web now. I'm not an expert on the matter but sometimes I want some privcay and get on. I thought it was something most everyone already knew about, it has millions and millions of users and TOR isn't the only game in town. I mean I guess if it were 12, even 10 years ago it was mainly a hacker thing but it's 2014. If nothing else I thought the whole Edward Snowden WikiLeaks which was on the news 24/7 and on every major website, would have revealed the darknet to those that were still in the dark about it, but now The Fappening occurs and every one is an expert on it. The Fappening is bringing more awareness about the darknet than National and International security issues. Crazy times.

As an aside to the uninitiated, it's not the best time to go hunting for this stuff right now even with the anonymity provided by TOR. It' would be the equivalent of looking for a whore in Swaziland where almost everyone has AIDS. It's best to be patient let this all come to the surface in due time. Let it be someone else does the dirty work not you.

Although, most people are focusing on 4Chan, whereas the actual source of the leaks is anonib. I'm actually glad so few are in the know, as the hypocrite in me wants more of the same.

Peruse anonib for a while, you'll come to understand these underground traders and their motives. Too bad anonib has been up and down more than a yo-yo over the years.

If they ever make a porn parody about this leak they should call it Teets of Justice, or Cuoco's Nest, or jLaw & Boner. I had a few more but I forgot what they were...I'll update later.
