Who takes care of your cat when you're gone?

 

I feel like laying down on the couch for a bit.. but if I do that I'll fall asleep. and I really want to sleep in my bed tonight, feels like it's been 2 weeks since I slept here.


I'm sure that my imaginary wife is longing for me

 

Then don't fall asleep on the couch!

 

I come here every 3 days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday ..) to refill their water bowl, give them some food and pet them. they catch most of their food themselves in the summertime though so no need for much caretaking now

 

I didn't know they caught their own food. :shock:

 

lots of mice & voles here

 

We have lots of those here too. People who let their cats run free are often given "gifts" from their cats who come back from hunting voles. The cats bring their kill back home.

 

and then eat them

 

Domesticated cats kill instinctively, but have to be taught how to eat their kill by their mothers. That's why so many house cats bring home dead stuff they haven't eaten.

EDIT: Once in a while they talk about this on documentaries about tigers, etc. The mother has to teach the "kids" to eat.

Today in Michigan it was all about cars, with the race at Michigan International Speedway and the legendary annual Woodward Dream Cruise. Well, not ALL about cars. There was a huge cancer-cure-funding walk that was very successful too.
