Better if they're plain clothes. Patterns are difficult if not impossible to X-ray. Gave this one a go though.

While I would agree that not having patterns or textured clothing is best, I thought this was supposed to be x-ray not a fakerays. None of these details are present in the original image. There's no shame in saying there's nothing there to get - more often than not most images requested here can't be done unless you're willing to make things up, and that's not what this thread is supposed to be about. Just making up nipples & areola sizes about where you feel they should be is not an x-ray.

 

Here it is step by step, I don't do fake rays. After a lot of burning you can make out the curve of the areola which gives you it's shape and size, also if you look closely you can just make out a faint nipple. After finding it I then just made it look more realistic. I have to admit, this one did take me a while to find but to accuse me of faking it annoyed me so thought I'd show you how I did it.

If your not able to do this photo that's fine but don't judge others by your own inadequacies! I don't have to spend my time doing this, I do it because some people appreciate it or so I thought.

I stand by my opinion - burning is a spot tool, and like airbrushing, it affects only the area you are working, so it can easily make things appear to be there where they are not whether it's intentional or not. Burn & dodge should not be used as a means of discovery as it can easily be used to fake, or make things appear to exist when they do not. I still see no evidence of any nipple or areola from the original.

My head isn't in my ass, and the reason the thread may die is because it is usually overwhelmed with too many poor requests & not enough people interested in learning how to properly learn the technique. Simply burning nipples into every image they ask for is not helping the thread, just making it worse. I am not inadequate in my abilities, and I'll let my own body of work be my resume that shows I might know what I am talking about.

I wouldn't call participation of thousands of posts (most of which where image & x-ray related) pretentious, and I'll let my thanked record represent me best.

Whether you continue to post is up to you, I just ask that you don't post fakerays like the pattern bikini here in the x-ray thread. I can only assume from your over-the-top reaction is you're trying to deflect attention from being called out on it, instead of accepting criticism from someone that can recognize the difference between real & BS x-rays. There are plenty here that don't care if their images are faked, I just ask that you don't do it here in this thread.

I'm doing this because I remember what it was like trying to get people to X-ray for you. I'm not out for recognition and don't have a need to inflate my own self worth, like some. I was doing it to give a little back.

I'm just trying to work out your motive, as it's clear you don't bother posting here, why would you bother writing a lengthy criticism? Don't say for the good of the thread!

I wasn't out to steal your thunder, you can still regard yourself as the grandmaster of X-rays without trying to belittle others.

I don't want the hassle of having a slagging match, that's why I'm going stop posting. I hope you find something more than this in your life!

 

Your contributions seem to be appreciated. But I gotta agree with c-through. The majority of the pics posted in this thread simply cannot be x-rayed because they either lack detail because they're low-res/low detail facebook photos, or the clothing is simply not transparent enough. Using burn/dodge on such pictures is simply 'painting' the nipples on.

A bit of a nipple bump on the black top, but image quality is poor, and a lot on .jpg noise when the levels are brought up so no way to determine areola size.

Mobius- you've been around long enough, for you and the guys who have asked for more than one set of pics to be done, I would recommend learning how to do at least simple x-rays yourself. It's not that hard, and while I prefer Photoshop, just about any image software will work, including GIMP, which is free.
