    True, but this was internal bleeding...the blood had no where to go and was too much for the system to absorb. :? Apparently after the infection started, it made a hole in the skin and that is when the blood clots came out, but it was too late by then; apparently the infection had too strong a foot hold.

    From my perspective, in hindsight, I should have gone to the doctor withing the week of the fall and they would have used a syringe to drain the blood pocket. ;)

    Great doctor visits this week.....leg is OK with just a few more days of bandages required, IV port removed from the base of my neck, and I shall be able to take a shower and shave tonight! :biggrin:
