We got 2.6 inches of rain here today in an hour......Partly cloudy now with clear days for a while.

 

Some of my nurses had that, too.

 

I will not miss the infernal beeping from the plethora of electronic devices up here.

 

You need to watch a comedy on TV!

 

And the death by boredom.....

 

I wonder if I will have to entertain anymore IV's tonight.....I might not.

PM, when you did your IVs at home, did you have a machine or did you just use gravity?

 

They sent me home with an IV pole that had a 3-legged floor stand, and one "branch" at the top to hang the bag on. I'd hang the bag, hook it up to the thing they installed in my arm, then open the bag to start the drip.

 

There's an easy adjustment clutch to adjust the drip speed too. You don't want it to drip too fast or too slow.

 

Thanks.....I call that gravity flow. Here at the hospital, they same arrangement you describe also has a metering machine on it that regulates the rate of flow and total accumulated flow. I just as soon not have to learn how to use that.

 

Next time they hook up an IV, you can see them adjust the drip speed, but look closely because they're quick at their jobs!

 

The manual adjuster you get at home is very easy to adjust.

 

It is nice not having those uncomfortable things sticking out of the back of my hands.

 

Time to take Leo out.
