i keep getting a "live jasmin" or something popup on login.....

 

Been happening to me too. I'm not sure what the reason is though.

 

It's there on purpose I assume. Here's how it works:

1. In Phun's source code there's some JS to load more JS from yzus09by.com (likely a domain provided by an ad network)
2. That JS provides the means for it to load a popunder ad on various browsers (ie. working around quirks and popup blocking).
3. That script includes an URL to a PHP script on yzus09by.com which in turn redirects to Live Jasmin in this case, but wouldn't always have to.

So, basically, some advertising JS was put on the page on purpose. Phun has to pay it's bills right? Then, the ad network is determining which site to include in the popunder. In my experience, this has always been Live Jasmine. But, I have both it and yzus09by.com blocked so I don't usually see them anyway.

Yes but this never happened before. It's just in the last few days that I've been getting this pop up. My Adblock blocks everything that's in the pop up (I just see a plain white window) but there is still a pop up.

 

I don't see any need to lock it.

 

Your Adblock apparently isn't blocking the original domain (yzus09by.com) then. You can add a manual filter with something like:

In my case, it's getting blocked by NoScript anyway. But, I do know that the script has been on the page for quite awhile. Phun switched to it last fall at some point from that trw12.com which served the same purpose. I got the same Live Jasmin ad then too when I didn't block it.

They may have improved their script to get around your browser's popup blocking, or maybe it has to do with them serving different ads to different people and you are just now getting the Live Jasmin one?

I'd ask what browser you are using and if you changed anything recently out of curiosity. But, the result for you is basically the same. You can block it if you want.

 

I'm using the latest version of Chrome, and I haven't changed anything. I'm aware of the yzus09by.com ads, but never had a problem with them before, so I'm guessing they changed something recently to get around the pop-up blocking.

I'd guess that's it too then. From a quick glance, the script that gets loaded from yzus09by.com (damn that domain is hard to remember and type), is there specifically for the purpose of navigating around browser differences in how they handle creating the popunder. So, that's the part that they may have "improved".

Once it figures out how to create the popunder, they use something like yzus09by.com/d/a/123.php to load into the new window. That's the one that redirects to Live Jasmine and since that probably is blocked, you just see a white page.

But, it's hard to tell definitively because there are 3 different points where they could be changing the scripts/urls dynamically. So, different people could be seeing different things.
