Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    The Affordable Health Care Act is a big company's way of slithering out of health care obligations. They act sad, but in the front offices they're jumping for joy! (Less money to pay out!)

    With this new "Obamacare" Act, you can go "shopping" for insurance at a main Web site. You pick the best deal and take it if you can afford it.

    That's the idea. It's a big change for Americans. There are huge political fights about it here. It was the origin of the government shutdown last year in the U.S. The idea is to make health care affordable for everybody, through a central government system, but provided by the usual existing U.S. insurance companies.

    This is what I understand about it. The government is trying to reign in the spending on healthcare. They decided to go with a handful of providers to work with, that gives them the best prices, and require everyone to carry insurance. The loophole, which everyone knows is there, is to not elect one of their options. Well, you don't have health insurance, you'll pay a penalty. However, the penalty is much less than the premiums paid throughout the year. Big business sees this as an easy out, now they can pad their bottom line. The worse part is some insurance companies see their bottom line being adversely affected and have denied further coverage. Under the new Obamacare, pre-existing conditions are a thing of the past. It gets a bit more complex than that but that is the gist of it.

    I hope it will truly help the ones who need it. i know without our healtcare when i got hurt a couple years ago i would have been fucked.

    How about: It was -6F fucking degrees out when I got home tonight, and is was 8F fucking degrees out when I woke up and took the dogs out. :lol:

    We're in a cold snap that's supposed to last at least a week or more. I'm gonna visit Inuk to get warmed up. ;)
