I don't think you mentioned Eugene before. Did you like it?

I have enjoyed moving about, though I did spend 19 years in Las Vegas, and the first 18 years of my life in Chicago. So the actual moving about was only for a dozen years of my life. Still, I've had a lot of fun in different places.

 

Arent they though?

 

Eugene was very different than what im used. It was nice enough. Lots of trees in oregon I spent 6 months there helping my sister after she and her ex-husband split up.

Only place I have lived for an extended period is New Jersey. Although I have moved around from north to south across the state. I hope to get outta here some day. Its just not easy to pick up and move to a whole new area like that. Im so used to Jersey.

 

I'm back. I was watching Grimm. Are you still planning on moving to the same city in CA as before, Scribe, or has it changed?

 

I've yet to step foot in Oregon, though I have been to Washington and Idaho. And no, I wasn't intentionally avoiding the state.

It's easier to move around when you're single and beholden to nobody, like I was for much of my adulthood.

Nope, same area, Modesto. And then eventually back to Las Vegas, depending on a few factors.

 

Oh, so you want to return to vegas. Is that your favorite place that you lived?

 

As someone who rarely travels and loves sports, I know towns & cities by their sports teams. So when it comes to Modesto, I think of the Nuts.

 

You know, if it was just a handful of members making most of the posts, instead of bunches of members making just a few, or even one, it would be much easier to police because you wouldn't have to check as many threads. The key is to memorize as many of the members as possible and familiarize yourself with their posting habits. That way you don't have to check their work every time they post, but only occasionally to make sure they're playing by the rules. The regulars are not where I find problems, but the oddballs that slip in every now and then trying to flout the rules. Those are the ones I find most irritating because our rules aren't all that difficult to follow. Or demanding, for that matter.

My mom wants to go back to Vegas, and if we have to live in the desert I prefer it over Phoenix, which is just too sprawling of a city.

If it were up to me we'd be moving to the Caribbean or the Bahamas.

Have you ever lived in Phoenix, or has it always been Glendale?

 

Just Glendale, though we do get around some. My niece lived over by Scottsdale, and my parent's doctors are at the Mayo Clinic. One of my favorite stores, Bass Pro, is in Tempe. We like going to the zoo and the botanical gardens. But mostly we just hang out here in Glendale.

Which zoo? Phoenix Zoo is our main one, but Wildlife World Zoo is closer (Litchfield Park). They've added a ton of stuff since the last time I was there. Have you ever been to the Cabela's on 95th & Glendale?

 

I've yet to see a wild scorpion in all the years I've lived in the desert.

 

Phoenix Zoo. Haven't been to the other one, though we've discussed going. Yeah, I've been to Cabela's. Cool store.

 

I've always liked it. It's more intimate & hands on. It's also nowhere near as crowded as the Phoenix Zoo.

I've never been in there, but it's right across the street from where I work.

 

They are rarely out during the day. Most people here in AZ keep a blacklight to find them at night.


I've seen a bunch. Most of the time it's on accident. I've even had a few a pets.
