    I've probably had the same pair of shoes for about 6 years.....I bought them from the mall......I don't understand why people would spend 100s of Dollars on shoes......it's ridiculous.

    Yeah same here, though I have to replace mine more often than that. I buy a single $50 or so pair of sneakers every year or two when I notice they getting ratty looking or are falling apart. I definitely couldn't go more than 2 years though. Then I save my old pair for doing things where I know they are going to get really dirty or something.

    Dress shoes, on the other hand, I've had the same couple pairs for like 10-15 years that I avoid wearing at all costs.
