  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Resolution's got nothing to do with it, as far as I can see these Aaliyah Love clip titles and screen-caps are totally different, which suggests that they are different scenes!

    The section wasnt the issue. You posted live gifs as opposed to thumbnails. If you didnt have your private messaging off I would have just sent a pm and asked you to rectify that.

    Gifs per say is okey its just the question whether too allow moving gifs in the threads on the forum or static thumbnails that people have to click on. For the sake of pleasing as many members as possible we prefer to the biggest extent possible if people post thumbnails as a thread with lots of moving gifs can affect the loading speeds of the thread and if you are on a lowend machine it can take a lot of time too load the full content.

    I would just add that while you did not have countless amounts of active gifs in your thread, it is much easier on all of us (mods and members) if we maintain some sort of consistency. I, personally, would prefer not to get into tangibles regarding how many active gifs in a thread is acceptable and at which point a line is crossed regarding performance and ease of use. Posting gifs in thumbnail format allows gifs while circumventing said intangibles.

    I would just like to add that no inline GIFs are allowed in the OP of a thread, period, and is addressed without ambiguity in the Body of Post section of all of the forums' rules threads.

    Read the rules - http://forum.phun.org/showthread.php?t=1124566. The original poster (OP) takes precedence, and the posting of supplementary hosts (same content but different filehosts) may only take place three days (72 hours) after the OP's submission. Subsequent posting of supplementary hosts must be made in the OP's original thread!

    If the OP's original links are dead, he is allowed 14 days to replace them, and only after that may fresh submissions be made, acknowledging the OP's original thread and linking back to it.

    Full declaration of screen resolution figures for all video clips is required, and 720p (720 horizontal lines, progressive scan) and above is classed as High Definition (HD), so naturally should be posted in the HD Section!

    If you spot others behaving at odds with what I and the rules are saying, report them in this thread.

    And if you don't shape up, you're going to have a hard time!
