One thing to consider is the file hash. A host can run the file through a hashing algorithm that gives them a string of characters (hash/md5/sha, etc) that uniquely identifies the raw data in the file no matter what you name it. Then when they receive a complaint, they can add that hash to a blacklist which all future files can be matched against. So, if you upload a file and it's blocked very quickly, it's probably such an automated system rather than somebody reporting it repeatedly.

To get around a blocked hash you could:

1) Put the file in a zip/rar and add extra data to the file like a small text file. This extra data changes the hash of the zip file (but not contained files). If it does get reported and you have to re-upload, you can just change the small text file.

2) Go an extra step and put a password on the zip/rar. The same automated system could attempt to extract zip files and also check the hashes of containing files. Putting a password on the container zip would put a stop to that. But, most people find passwords annoying so that's a bit of a trade-off I guess.

EDIT: Now it works ...

 

I've gotten that a few times in the past. Basically what happens, from what I can tell, is that the site reads it as you thanking the post twice (not sure why). Since you can only thank a post once, it takes you to that page. Your thanks should show up when you go back into the thread though.

I wasn't able to reproduce it. But if it keeps happening, try to capture more details about it and I'd be happy to give it another try. I'd want as many details about what you were doing at the time and, hopefully, whatever errors are logged on the JavaScript console. To do that:

1) Hit F12 (Chrome & IE) or CTRL+SHIFT+K (Firefox) to bring up the developer tools.
2) Select the "Console" tab and then press CTRL+L to clear away any existing messages
3) Reload the page or do whatever you have to do to reproduce the problem again
4) Copy everything that shows up in the console and paste that into a thread or PM to me.

I'm guessing the Phun Tech Issues thread would probably be the best place to continue the discussion if you want to. But, if it happens infrequently and you can just reload the page to fix it, I wouldn't worry about it.

I see it twice. Both of them in threads regarding the vampire diaries 100th episode party. Candice is on vampire diaries as well. Seems like its just a case of disappointment that she is not in any of the pictures as well since some show Nina and Kat together. Not really a big deal.
