Concert. They aren't dumb enough (yet) to schedule a Coyotes game and a Cardinals game at similar times. They did have a Paul McCartney concert at the same time as WrestleMania a couple of years ago though.

 

Do you have to work extra hours?

 

No, but I have to do Cardinals traffic (egress) even though they don't pay me. It's just a pain. The Cardinals do their traffic a completely different way than we do. They also use different names for each parking lot. We give each lot a letter, while they do it by color. The Cardinals use a different company for their traffic, and they aren't the most competent people...

 

Got it. At least you'll be prepared for a hellish shift. You're used to it!

I recorded the Michigan game to watch when I got home, no reason to watch us lose. I kept track of the score on my phone. How bad was it?

 

When I turned the game on it was tied, but Michigan didn't look good. I couldn't stand to watch them lose, so I changed the channel.

 

Think we'll get a good bowl game? Obviously it's not going to be a BCS game at this point.

 

I'm not sure. Maybe they can pull a streak together to end the season. A lot depends on the coaching and QB-ing.

 

Our players are good. I just don't think they are at their best in the pro-style offense they are trying to use.

 

A FB acquaintance posted the same thing. They're recruited for 2 different playing styles, because of the different coach.

 

Yeah, you can tell they are being held back by that style of offense. It's a lot to ask a team to do. Brady Hoke has done great so far. He needs a couple more years for the recruiting to catch up though.

 

So, they need some good luck this year I think.

The other problem is we wait too long to start going. We always come back late in games, but the more we let the other team score, the harder it is to comeback.

 

That's probably a coaching problem. My FB friend is a Blue fanatic, but he's not sure Hoke's going to last.

 

I think it's on the players. I would say it's on the defense, but given how often Michigan turns the ball over it's hard to fault only them.

I disagree. Hoke has done great with what he has had so far. He gave us our first BCS Bowl game victory since the 2000 Orange Bowl. He also gave Michigan their only win over Ohio State in the last 9 years. If Hoke is let go, it will be a long time before Michigan becomes an elite team again. The more the coaches change, the harder it is to have a successful team.

For the record, I have never met anyone who knows as much about Michigan (football) as me. That includes people that actually went to school there.

They first did it at an Ohio State game in 1932, Ohio State didn't start performing it until 1936. Michigan's version was a lot different than the one used today, but they were the ones that came up with the idea. From what I remember, it was presented as a gift to Ohio State.
