Got Halloween at the Arena tomorrow.

 

You're up late tonight. Was there an event?

 

No, just got caught up in a couple things, so I'm still finishing watching Conan. Pearl Jam is coming next month though.

 

Will you get to see a little of the concert?

 

I get to hear the sound-checks when I go downstairs to clock-in. Haven't listened to Pearl Jam in a while though.

 

I remember when I first started working at the arena, I got pulled inside to do back-up security during a Slipknot concert. I'll have to tell you that story another time though. Gonna get dinner in a few minutes.

 

Have you ever sneaked an autograph?

 

No, they would terminate me on the spot. The talent/players stay on the opposite side of the arena. There is plenty separating the two areas. I do get to meet some of them sometimes, mostly in the loading dock. I just missed an elevator with Hilary Duff one time, . Her husband, Mike Comrie, used to play for the Coyotes. (He's also a Wolverine )

Howdy Cold, how was your day?


been chilly here today. Just done some outside cleaning, took a while to clean away a 22ton excavator so that it wouldn't be in the way in the winter, doing some indoor cleaning now, looked like a junkyard in here.

 

Day was good, when workday was done it started raining

 

the floor is wet and shiny now, just have to wait a bit until it's dry before I can continue.

 

sucks... unless you worked outside then it was good that it waited.
