  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    My condolences. I've lost a couple in the past that weren't backed up and it's always disappointing. Now I make sure that I always have an exactly clone of each (data) drive, and important stuff backed up in a third way offsite.

    Get yourself a free Dropbox account (or Box.net, etc). It's great for smaller documents like that and you can even go back 30 days and recover deleted/changed files. It's tougher for large media like video because of the storage limit, but great for smaller files.

    I had a good day pm, finished cutting down the rest of the hedge, burned half of it and left the rest to burn tomorrow, if I have time for it. an old friend wanted to go to the farm tomorrow to get a lookaround so gonna follow him there and back.
